The Virginia Commonwealth University hub will describe how they used the Common Metrics as a springboard to collaborate with their Institutional Review Board to better monitor their IRB performance. Objectives: Explain the challenges requiring the need for aligned operational definitions and harmonized data collection. Demonstrate the newly designed database used across university departments
The Careers in Clinical and Translational Research Metric is designed to measure and develop strategic management plans to enhance the ways CTSA program hubs train and support scientists to remain engaged in research. To measure and report the success of the metric, hubs conduct follow-up surveys to determine if scholars and trainees have remained in clinical research upon completion of the
To elicit hub feedback to determine which hubs will be participating or declining participation in the MAR
Metric Expanded Pilot.
Insights to Inspire 2020 highlights those hubs who have made improvements in their Careers in Clinical and Translational Research metric. The third webinar in this series focuses on the application and screening processes used by the presenting hubs. The purpose of the Careers in Clinical and Translational Research metric is to measure and develop strategic plans to enhance the ways hubs and the entire CTSA Program consortium are training and supporting the future workforce. This support is vital to helping trainees remain engaged in clinical and translational science. One of the earliest opportunities hubs have to support early-career
The Insights to Inspire (I2I) disseminates lessons learned and strategies implemented to improve on a given Common Metric. The insights gained may inspire hubs to use this actionable intelligence to facilitate local change.
Insights to Inspire 2020 highlights those hubs who have made improvements in their Careers in Clinical and Translational Research metric. The second webinar in this year’s series focuses on recruiting scholars and trainees. For CTSA Program hubs, supporting and promoting the career development of their trainees and scholars can be a lengthy process. Before a hub can evaluate the success of their TL1 or KL2 educational training programs, before trainees or scholars can receive effective mentoring, every hub has to take the first step: recruiting researchers into the program. As a part of the Insights to Inspire 2020

To elicit participant feedback regarding the 2020 Spring Common Metrics Initiative Meeting.
The purpose of the Careers in Clinical and Translational Research metric is to measure the success of CTSA Program hubs in training scientists who will stay engaged in the field specifically with regard to underrepresented persons (URP) and women. However, engagement is not the only factor for continued success. The value of science to society is the ability to both collect data and analyze
To elicit feedback on the Multi-Year Report and its usefulness to individuals and their roles in their hubs.
The Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Consortium and the National Center for Advancing Translational Science (NCATS) undertook a Common Metrics Initiative to improve research processes across the national CTSA Consortium. This was implemented by Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the 64 CTSA academic medical centers.

This pilot study describes the career development programs (i.e., NIH KL2 awards) across five Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) institutions within the University of California (UC) system, and examines the feasibility of a set of common metrics for evaluating early outcomes.
The National Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Consortium 2.0 has developed common metrics as a collaborative project for all participating sites. Metrics address several important aspects and functions of the consortium, including workforce development.
The purpose of this office hour is to assist CTSA Program hubs with the completeness of the annual data submissions. We will review the data reporting requirements for both numerical and TTC Plans.
