To elicit participant feedback regarding the 2020 Spring CTSA Hub Communicators Meeting.
The 2020 Spring CTSA Program Meeting took place on April 14-15, 2020, (via Zoom, per the COVID-19 outbreak). After the meeting, registered attendees were sent an individualized unique survey link to complete the 2020 Spring Program Meeting Logistics evaluation, regardless of whether or not they attended. Additionally, two follow-up reminder emails were sent to individuals who had not responded.
Registered attendees were asked questions about their overall experience attending the Program Meeting and then were asked to indicate which individual meetings they had attended. Respondents were then directed to a survey queue to complete evaluations for each individual meeting they attended. The Program Meeting Logistics evaluation was sent to 555 registered attendees, 180 of them attended the 2020 Spring Communicators Meeting held on April 14, 2020.
A total of 42 of the 180 participants completed the 2020 Program Meeting Logistics evaluation and indicated that they had attended the Communicators Meeting, resulting in a response rate of 23.3%. However, of the 42 respondents, only 22 of them went on to complete the 2020 Spring Communicators evaluation. The meeting included topics on six different products, resources and toolkits
The majority of respondents “agreed” or “strongly agreed” that the topics presented at the meeting were valuable (95.3%, N=20), that the meeting addressed expectations (95.4%, N=21), that the meeting was a valuable addition to ongoing teleconferences (95.5%, N=21), and that the meeting helped clarify the priorities for the CTSA program hub Communicators group going into 2020 (86.3%, N=19). Despite the difficulties presented in shifting the meeting to an entirely virtual format, 95.5% (N=21) of respondents were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the meeting overall.
This was supported in the qualitative feedback, where individuals expressed their satisfaction that the meeting was allowed to continue as planned, “I thought the 2020 meeting was great, given that is was truncated and virtual and put together on short notice…”
