To assess attendees’ satisfaction and experience during the 2018 Fall CTSA Program Meeting.
The Fall CTSA Program Meeting, which took place on October 22 and 23, 2018 in Washington, DC, included evaluations for the Program Meeting, the Networking & Poster Session, and the Administrators Meeting. The evaluation surveys assessed attendees’ meeting/session satisfaction and experience. These reports summarize quantitative item results and outline common themes and specific recommendations from open ended qualitative responses for the Program Meeting & Poster Session evaluation surveys. A complete set of qualitative responses for both is included in an Appendix.
A total of 81 responses were received from 252 registered attendees, for a response rate of 32%. The survey was distributed both onsite (in hard copy form) directly following the end of the meeting, and also sent via email to all who had attended. Questions addressed meeting content, venue, schedule, logistics, and overall meeting value to participants, as well as feedback on how the meeting could be improved. These responses will be used in planning subsequent meetings.
In general, responses were positive, and indicated that the meeting met the attendees’ expectations. Overall, attendees were pleased with presentations, content, and networking opportunities. Areas for improvement included reduced didactic time in favor of more discussion time, learning about program partners, and information updates.
