Research Operations Manager - CCaTS Mayo Clinic

Manages operations for the Center for Clinical and Translational Science. Serves as a key member of the leadership team with a primary focus on administrative leadership, management of allied health staff, program budget development and oversight, grants management, operational and strategic planning, and implementation of policies and systems. Partners closely with physician/scientist leadership to help advance research. Provides direct support to multiple CCaTS components, CCaTS Steering Committee, External Advisory Committee, and collaborations across components, institutions, and the CTSA consortium. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment in handling a variety of management issues. Direct reports may include research supervisors and/or other department/division personnel.

Qualifications: Skills

NIH Research grant proposal development, grants management and financial management experience preferred. Must have excellent communication, organizational and human relation skills. Requires excellent decision-making and judgment capabilities. Must have broad based knowledge of office support and computer systems along with spreadsheets, databases, statistics, software knowledge and installation, and accounting practices for budgetary responsibilities.

Qualifications: Experience

Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred in Business or Healthcare field and healthcare management experience with strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines, i.e., physician, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff.
