In 2020 Fred Meyers, director of the UC Davis CTSC Research Training, Education and Career Development program, was awarded the UC Davis Chancellor's Achievement Awards for Diversity and Community. He received this award in recognition of his contributions in enhancing inclusiveness and diversity within the campus community.

Dr. Meyers is also Director of the Center for Precision Medicine and Data Sciences and professor of internal medicine/hematology-oncology at UC Davis School of Medicine. He is a very well-respected internist, oncologist, an expert in precision medicine, and an academician with outstanding records of mentoring and of representing the UC Davis School of Medicine at the national level, publishing frequently on clinical effectiveness research topics.
