Developing and Validating Ways to Model High-Dimensional Data
The purpose of the Life Course Visual Toolkit is to increase knowledge about life course research methods and innovative approaches by providing content that is widely available and accessible to researchers across multiple disciplines. This will be accomplished through a platform that allows synchronous and asynchronous learning opportunities. Six Webinars have been designed to advance the process recommendations outlined in, Charting the Life Course: Emerging Opportunities to Advance Scientific Approaches Using Life Course Research, which was recently accepted in the Journal of Clinical and Translational Sciences. The webinars will have three speakers, one giving a broad overview of the subject in a TED-Like talk and two taking a deep dive into the ‘How To’ do this in your own research.
The speakers in Webinar 4 will discuss the development of new ways to model high dimensional data. Topics will include creating transdisciplinary research teams, setting high benchmarks for data processing and transparency, and identifying opportunities for developing novel methods that may be deemed high risk.
