As part of its mission to cultivate and engage each other in honest and vulnerable conversations about race, the UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute's Diversity and Cultural Competence Council (UF CTSI DC3) will be hosting its second Black Voices in Research Storytelling Event on Saturday, Jun. 19, 2021 from 10 a.m. - 11:30 p.m. EST.
Created with the support of local storytelling event company, Guts & Glory, this unique event will feature a cast of four Black voices who will share their stories in a live stream format via the Heartwood Soundstage.
Their stories highlight the unique experiences of Black biomedical researchers and research professionals at UF, contributing to the university's continuing mission to promote an inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible community.
